Pulse MIG for welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum
We all understand using the short-circuit transfer type for welding mild steel. But TOPWELL PROMIG-200SYN PULSE uses spray arc transfer type (Pulsed MIG process) for all kinds of metals: stainless steel, aluminum and even mild steel! At this level, nobody in the world use the spray arc transfer type for welding mild steel, even the LINCOLN and ESAB. Because they only used it for the industrial models.
The peak current of PROMIG-200SYN/200SYN PULSE is up to 400Amps. Because of such a high peak current, it has enough energy to melt the wire during spray arc transfer. The real spray arc transfer forms droplet of molten metal at the end of the electrode, then just the right amount of current is added to push that droplet across the arc and into the puddle. With practicing thousands of welding jobs, the pulse curve is improved for different materials and different situations.
The 400Amps super high peak amperage could also confirm enough energy for welding mild steel with short-circuit transfer type. It could comfortably weld the 1.0mm wires (0.040in) while all the competitors’ machines only suitable for 0.6/0.8mm steel wires.
